Position Overview
Deliver high-quality English-medium mathematics instruction across elementary and middle school grades. Support the school’s curriculum vertical alignment by guiding students through Pre-Algebra to Algebra I progression, bridging ESL and Mainstream tracks, and preparing learners for Pre-AP mathematics.
Key Responsibilities
Teach G1–G3 English-Medium Math
Deliver G4–G6 ESL & Mainstream English Math
Instruct G7–G8 ESL English Math
Manage G7 Mainstream Math progression: Pre-Algebra → Algebra I
Lead G8 Mainstream Math & Math Review to ensure seamless Pre-AP transition
Collaborate closely with Chinese-track mathematics teachers to maintain curriculum consistency
Conduct formative/summative assessments, track academic progress, and maintain regular parent communication
Serve as Homeroom or Deputy Homeroom Teacher (single grade, optional)
Organize and facilitate mathematics clubs, competitions, or enrichment activities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field (Master’s preferred)
3+ years of teaching experience in elementary or middle school mathematics
Demonstrated ability to instruct English-language learners effectively
Prior experience in international schools or English-medium educational environments
Proven capability to design and deliver Pre-Algebra through Algebra I curriculum progression
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching Pre-AP Mathematics
Familiarity with Common Core, Singapore Math, or other international math frameworks
Proficiency in educational technology and digital math tools
Experience with co-teaching, collaborative planning, or cross-disciplinary instruction
