Houhai English is a rapidly growing children’s English education brand with 31 campuses across China (15 in Beijing). With 20 new centers opening by year-end, we are expanding our teaching team and looking for passionate, energetic educators to join our journey. What We’re Looking For
- Nationality: Native English speaker (Please note: South African applicants cannot be processed due to current work visa regulations)
- Age: Under 45 (up to 50 may be considered for urgent placements)
- Certification: TEFL / TESOL / CELTA (120+ hours preferred)
- Experience: Not required. Career-changers and fresh graduates with strong communication skills are welcome. Full pedagogical training provided.
- Personality: Patient, energetic, highly child-friendly, and adaptable to a young-learner classroom environment.
- Note: We are currently recruiting individual applicants only. Couple applications cannot be accommodated at this time.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate English lessons to young learners (ages 3–12)
- Prepare interactive teaching materials and participate in weekly teaching workshops
- Maintain a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment
- Provide regular progress updates to parents and academic coordinators
- Participate in school events, demo classes, and seasonal activities
Compensation & Benefits
Beijing Positions
- Salary: 18,000 – 22,000 RMB/month (pre-tax, includes housing allowance)
- Teaching Load: 60 hours/month
- Overtime: Paid for any hours beyond the contracted load
- Schedule: Flexible; days off rotate across weekdays & weekends
📍 Other Cities
- Salary: 24,000 – 25,000 RMB/month
- Teaching Load: 120 hours/month
- Schedule: 2 weekdays off per week; weekend teaching days
- Contract Completion Bonus: 4,000 RMB
- Annual Flight Allowance: 6,000 RMB (paid directly; no reimbursement process required)
- Renewal: Salary increase considered upon contract renewal based on performance
